Stamping Workshop 🖐️🎨

On November 14th, let’s experiment with shapes, patterns and prints as we turn simple stamps into pictures!

In this hands-on workshop, children aged 4–11 will explore the playful possibilities of stamping, using handmade foam shape stamps to create their own colourful artworks.

We’ll look at how simple shapes can be combined, repeated, rotated and layered to build up pictures and patterns. Think of the stamps as little building blocks for making art — a circle, a triangle or a wiggly shape can become part of something completely new when you start putting them together.

Children can experiment with colour, repetition, pattern and composition, discovering how a collection of simple printed shapes can grow into a picture, character, landscape or something entirely unexpected.

Younger children will be supported with ideas and simple starting points, while older children can explore more complex combinations and develop their own printed designs.

There’s no right or wrong way to stamp — just choose a shape, make a mark and see where it takes you!

No experience needed — just curiosity and a willingness to get creative.

All materials are provided. If your child has a SEEDLINGS sketchbook from a previous session, they’re welcome to bring it along too.

Led by experienced art educator Katy, SEEDLINGS encourages curiosity, confidence, self-expression and creative exploration. There’s no pressure to make a perfect finished artwork—just space to experiment, make a mess and enjoy the process.

Parents and carers are asked to stay throughout the session and support their child where needed.

Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for art-making. Aprons and protective bibs will be available.

Spaces are limited to 22 children — advance booking essential.
