Seeing where we are
Walk with our new CEO Greg Morel at La Mielle de Morville, considering what loving nature asks of us now and in the future.
With fresh eyes on the Jersey National Park and its purpose, Greg leads a walk that looks at how understanding of place develops over time.
At La Mielle de Morville, once used as landfill and now restored into a working habitat - this landscape shows what long-term care can achieve - offering space to reflect on both the Park’s past and its future.
As the National Trust reaches 90 years and introduces its Love Nature festival, the walk reflects on why places like this matter, and the Jersey National Park’s role in protecting them.
Greg was recently appointed as the Park’s new CEO: jerseynationalpark.com/jnp-appoints-CEO/

Before its restoration, St. Ouen’s Bay was a landscape of neglect. Parts of the bay were used as an unofficial dumping ground, strewn with animal bones, builder’s rubble, and general waste. Its natural beauty was overshadowed by the scars of careless human impact. Image coutesy of the Jersey Evening Post archives.
