Select 74 – Reflecting on the past and preparing for the future
Thursday 26th March 2026 Radnor Rooms, Bristol, BS1 1TG Doors open 5.30pm, event starts 6.00pm Talk, panel discussion, dinner, networking
Tickets are now on sale for Select 74’s Spring Event at Radnor Rooms on Thursday 26th March. Our theme for this event is ‘Reflecting on the past and preparing for the future’.
We are delighted that Phil Cleverley(SCOR Chief Underwriter) will be joining us to present a talk reflecting on nearly half a century of experience. How has our industry and role evolved over this time, and how can we learn from past opportunities and challenges to prepare for the future? We’ll be sharing more information about Phil’s talk in a few weeks’ time …
This will be followed by a panel discussion focusing on how we can learn from past experience and the future direction for claims and underwriting professionals. How will our roles be impacted by advances in technology, medicine, and the protection market? What skills will claims and underwriting professionals of the future need? How do we deliver training that prepares new entrants for different opportunities? What are the current challenges and how might they be overcome? We’ll be introducing our panellists to you in our next email …
We will then open the floor for questions and discussion, to give all attendees a chance to respond to the topics that have been raised, and share your ideas about shaping the future of claims and underwriting. This isn’t limited to managers and thought leaders in the industry; we are keen to hear ideas and perspectives from colleagues at all career stages. We hope that this will provide an opportunity for lively debate and provide some takeaways for how we can collectively prepare for the future.
Formal proceedings will be followed by a barbecue dinner on the rooftop terrace, with an opportunity to continue discussion of the topics raised in a more informal setting. You will be asked to indicate any dietary requirements when you book your tickets.
We hope that you’ll be able to join us for what we hope will be an engaging and thought-provoking event.
