Self Directed Support (SDS) - Briefing Session : Community Care

This session is for West Lothian HSCP community care staff only.

Community Care Staff have been invited to attend an important briefing on current Self-Directed Support delivery updates.

The session will highlight the importance of good conversations, outcomes, and the processes within West Lothian Council when processing SDS options for unpaid carers and supported people.

What you will take away from the session

The briefing will be hosted by one of your Group Managers. The session will last approximately 3 hours. During the session, you will:

• Recap on some of the key points of Self-Directed Support
• Learn about the changes in the All About Me assessment process.
• Discuss indicative budgets and the Resource Allocation System (RAS)
• Discuss the importance of accurate budget calculations
• Recap on effective record keeping
• Opportunity for questions and answers.

The session will take place upstairs in Conference Room 3, Civic Centre
