About this event

  • 6 hours

Cherry Garden School is Southwark's specialist primary school for children with complex learning differences from age 2-11. If you are working with pupils with a high level of need in a mainstream primary school or nursery, you can book to come and spend a day in our school, to give you ideas to take back to your own setting. Suitable for Learning Support Assistants, Teachers and other school staff.

You will receive training in a range of key communication, interaction and sensory strategies that are proven to be effective in supporting pupils with a range of learning differences from our experienced team at Cherry Garden. You will also spend time in one of our classes getting stuck in as one of the team, getting to know our fantastic pupils, learning about how to engage, communicate, interact and play with them, and how we support them to develop skills and independence. There will be a chance to debrief as a group and ask questions during the final part of the day.

Places on this course are limited to 10 people, so as not to overwhelm the children with too many new faces. Book early to avoid disappointment!
