Specifically designed for childminders this course will explain your duties according to the SEND Code of practice. From the course you will know what the Code of Practice is and what it means for you as a childminder.

The course will:

• Give you practical ideas and guidance of how to include children with additional needs in your care.

• Give ideas of how to develop inclusive provision

• Guide you through the Graduated Approach and what you need to do at each stage.

• Develop your confidence in sharing concerns with parents and carers.

• Support you to know about funding streams available to you

• Guide you to where you can get support and practical advice

• Provide an opportunity to network with other childminders

• Give you chance to share and hear examples of good practice

• Inform you of other courses available to you
