SEND Workforce - Data, Voice and Commissioning

We are the umbrella body for the disabled children's sector with a membership of over 200 voluntary and community organisations and an active network of practitioners that spans education, health and social care.As a membership body we provide a collective voice that champions the rights of children, young people and their families and challenges barriers to inclusion.Our vision is a society in which disabled children and young people’s rights are respected, their aspirations supported and life chances are assured.

Data, Voice and Commissioning workshop has been developed to meet learning needs identified by a workforce survey.

Under the RISE programme, funded by the Department for Education, the Council of Disabled Children and NDTi have conducted a workforce survey to identify learning needs across the SEND System. The following workshop has been developed to meet these learning needs.Objectives<ul><li>Increase understanding of the relationship between strategic outcomes, commissioning and voice
</li><li>Increase understanding of tools and approaches for capturing and interpreting lived experience as data
</li><li>Learn from good practice examples
</li><li>Reflect on and share local strengths, challenges and opportunities with colleagues from other local areas
</li><li>Explore common barriers regarding commissioning in response to lived experience data
