SEND Workforce - Preparing for Adulthood, Post 16 Pathways

We are the umbrella body for the disabled children's sector with a membership of over 200 voluntary and community organisations and an active network of practitioners that spans education, health and social care.As a membership body we provide a collective voice that champions the rights of children, young people and their families and challenges barriers to inclusion.Our vision is a society in which disabled children and young people’s rights are respected, their aspirations supported and life chances are assured.

Preparing for Adulthood, Post 16 Pathways workshop has been developed to meet learning needs identified by a workforce survey.

Under the RISE programme, funded by the Department for Education, the Council of Disabled Children and NDTi have conducted a workforce survey to identify learning needs across the SEND System. The following workshop has been developed to meet these learning needs.Objectives<ul><li>Increase the understanding of Preparing for Adulthood from the earliest years </li><li>Understand the evidence base for positive outcomes around; Employment, Friends and Relationships and Community, Independent Living and Good Health </li><li>Increase understanding of tools and resources available to support best practice</li><li>Reflect on and share local strengths, challenges and opportunities with colleagues from other local areas</li></ul>Please select the training date that suits you from dates in December 2022 to March 2023.For any questions, please email Miry - mmayer@ncb.org.uk
