Sensing Time: Music for Mechanical Clocks
The Foundling Museum will be hosting this concert for attendees of the <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="https://shop.vam.ac.uk/whatson/index/view/id/2508/event/Sensing-Time--The-Art-and-Science-of-Clocks-and-Watches/dt/2016-06-18/eType/1/free/2" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">V&A and Science Museum's Study Day: Sensing Time on Saturday 18th June 2016</A>.
Musicians, Florilegium, will play a programme of music for mechanical clocks:
Handel                Ten short pieces for Clay’s Musical Clock
Haydn                 Six pieces for the Musical Clock (1792)
Mozart                Flute Quartet in C major K285b                             Allegro, Andante con variazione
Interval
Haydn                Symphony No.101 in D major “The Clock” (arr Salomon)                            Adagio-Presto; Andante; Minuetto e Trio                             Allegretto; Finale: Presto)
Florilegium are:
