As part of ALICE IN HACKNEYLAND’s one-year curious adventure, we invite you to excite and stimulate your senses, and explore our latest two-room walk-through immersive installation filled with objets d’art and unique interactive experiences. Our featured artists are Neal Coghlan, Michelle Meola, Nina Mankin and Olha Pryymak, with handcrafted mirrors provided by Alguacil & Perkoff.
NEAL COGHLAN: multimedia artist experimenting in animations, motion graphics, projections and interactive virtual reality eating and drinking experiences. His most recent projects explore the virtual sculpting of the intricate and enchanting world of exotic flowers and Ikebana.
MICHELLE MEOLA: muralist, eco artist, environmental activist and community art teacher. Her recent works ask us to examine our symbiotic relationship with the natural world and the detrimental impact our behaviour has on it.
NINA MANKIN: mixed-media artist whose work delves deep into the magic and uncanny realm of fairy tales, psychology and dreams. She works within the medium of sculptural installation, print and collage, all of which carry the thread of unusual intricately woven visual stories.
OHLA PRYYMAK: painter and participatory performance artist, whose current work originates from fascination with folklore surrounding herbal tea and wellbeing. Her performances invite the audience to taste herbal teas that are deemed to possess healing and balancing properties. Her paintings are informed by these encounters.
ALGUACIL & PERKOFF develop modern, elegant and original mirror collections with the aim to help create distinctive, beautiful and harmonious interiors. They combine a crafted style with a very refined finish that distinguishes their work and makes each piece a little unique.
VERV LONDON is a retail platform dedicated to genderfluid fashion, challenging gender norms. Displaying a curated collection of clothing and accessories from leading independent brands. VERV LAB is the gallery and exhibition space, housed on the first floor dedicated to supporting community and creativity.
