44AD Gallery

Our long awaited ArtCan exhibition Set in Stone will take place this September. Originally planned for the summer of 2020, the selected works were shared last autumn in a virtual show. We are delighted to be finally bringing them together as originally intended in the lovely 44AD gallery in Bath.ArtCan artists were invited to respond to the theme &#x27;Set in Stone&#x27;.To be set in stone relating to a plan or an idea. Depending on timing and perspective this can be restricted or motivating.Nothing is yet...Everything can change until it is...Once set, the rules are then immovable. The conclusion has been reached. The creation is complete. Curator: Jen WiggleCurator’s quote:“After a long wait, I am delighted that Set in Stone will finally be showing in the 44AD gallery space. While the concept of something as ‘set in stone’ may have elicited a very different notion when originally planned, the responding works have continued to be relevant. From structural and geometric to abstract and organic works, the exhibition raises questions about what decays and what endures over time.” J WExhibition run: 14 to 19 September 2021.Free Entry.
