Seussical Art Day: Arty Farty February 2026 Half Term
Step into a world where stripes can wiggle, colours can wobble, and imagination runs delightfully wild!
Seussical Art Day
Tuesday 17th February
11am – 3pm
Ages 7+
Step into a world where stripes can wiggle, colours can wobble, and imagination runs delightfully wild! Seussical Art Day is a one-day creative workshop inspired by the playful, topsy-turvy style of Dr. Seuss, where nothing is quite ordinary and everything starts with a “What if?”
Young artists will explore exaggerated shapes, rhythmic lines, and bold, unexpected colour combinations through drawing, painting, and mixed-media making. From quirky creatures and fantastical plants to topsy-turvy landscapes and silly inventions, children will be encouraged to stretch their imaginations and invent characters and worlds entirely their own.
Guided activities will introduce how artists use line, pattern, scale, and repetition to create movement, humour, and personality in their work—celebrating the joy of being experimental, expressive, and a little bit weird. There’s no right or wrong here, just playful problem-solving and creative freedom.
Beyond making art, this workshop builds confidence, curiosity, and creative courage. Each child will head home with a collection of Seuss-inspired artworks—and a head full of wonderfully wacky ideas ready to keep growing, twisting, and tumbling.
