Colour and Cloth opens its doors on Saturday 12th November for an Open Day and FREE Taster sessions at its East Belfast studio from 12.30 - 3pm. This is a drop in event. Come when you can and leave when you must.
If you fancy getting creative and would like to try your hand at a few techniques then please come along. Christine who owns and runs all the Colour and Cloth classes will be there to show you the steps and answer any sewing questions you may have. It will also give you the chance to find out more about the wide range of sewing and craft classes that she runs.
Colour and Cloth classes are hosted and taught by Christine Boyle. Her mum taught her how to sew when she was six, and she's been sewing ever since... that's a long time! She has taught over 1000 students in colleges, community groups, individual tuition and mentoring. From 8 to 85 years young, and all level of abilities, Christine teaches with patience, enthusiasm, and passion. As well as teaching she designs and makes costumes for many productions ranging from carnival, circus, theatre, film and television. She is credited as Costume Maker on series 1-4 of HBO Game of Thrones. Previous students have set up their own business, gone on to Central St Martins to study fashion, and pursued career paths in Costume. Angeline Murphy from The Great British Sewing Bee Series 4 was once one of Christine's dressmaking students!
