About this event

Class Description

During this workshop you will make a handbag from fabrics of your choice. You will make a Dresden plate which will form one part of your bag. You will make your own handles from fabric scraps and you will use iron on wadding for the bag body. This bag has two pockets as well as magnet to keep the bag closed. By the end of this lesson, you will have made a completely unique handbag to take home with you.


This workshop is held during the following dates:

Session 1 - Thursday 18th April - 10am - 1pm

Session 2 - Thursday 25th April - 10am - 1pm

or Session 2 - Friday 19th April - 4pm - 7pm


Session 1 and 2 - Saturday 20th April - 10am - 5pm


Session 1 and 2 - Saturday 15th June - 10am - 5pm


What do I need to bring?

You will need good mood, smile, patience, and enthusiasm. Everything else will be provided.

Just to sew things up...

All fabrics, materials, sewing machines, tools and threads are provided. Refreshments and biscuits are included.

We welcome crafters between the age of 6years old – 99 years old (parents must be accompany children between the ages of 6-12years old).
