Sewing North Winter Sewing Retreat

Join Natalie for the first ever Sewing North sewing retreat on the 23rd & 24th of November 2024.

The setting is the stunning Gisborough Hall Hotel, a 19th century Grade II listed building on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. This beautiful hotel is an idyllic retreat to relax and spend time enjoying your hobby.

Spend a whole weekend sewing, meeting new people and sharing your sewing knowledge, in the exquisite Glass House with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

The weekend includes arrival pastries, lunch, a three course dinner on day one and a full Yorkshire breakfast and an afternoon tea On day two. Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend.

The weekend will finish with a relaxing and meditative yoga session with a trained professional to relax you after all of that sewing!

Spaces are limited, book now with a deposit of £100 to secure your place.

Itinerary

Day One:

Arrive for 9.30am for refreshments and pastries. We will then set up our machines in the Glass House for a morning of sewing.

A light lunch will be served in the Brasserie at 1pm, after which we will return to the sewing room for an afternoon session until 4.30pm.

At this point you can check in to your room and relax before we meet for a pre dinner drink at 7pm.

At 7.30pm a three course meal will be served in our own private dining room. After dinner there are plenty of quiet spaces to chat to the other attendees and a bar to buy drinks from, or you can retire to your room, the choice is yours.

Day Two:

A full Yorkshire Breakfast will be served from 8am in the main restaurant, before we start the second day of sewing at 10am.

We will take a break at 12.30 for an afternoon tea before we have our final sewing session.

At approximately 4pm, a certified Yoga teacher will lead us in to a relaxing a meditative session to relax our bodies before departing the premises at 5pm.

The Hotel

We will be using the stunning Glass House for our two days of sewing which has stunning views of the North Yorkshire Countryside. The room is fully accessible.

Accessibility

The sewing space is fully accessible and there are accessible bedrooms if required.

Terms and conditions:

1. Buying a ticket through Eventbrite covers your deposit and secures your place.
2. The total price of the weekend is £499 and includes, two days use of the sewing room, all food, a pre dinner drink, an overnight stay in your own private single occupancy room, an optional yoga session.
3. Deposits are non refundable and your balance is due approximately 4 weeks before the event. I will contact you by email when this is due.
4. There is a secure carpark, however Sewing North nor Gisborough Hall can not be held liable for any damage or stolen property.
5. Sewing North reserves the right to cancel the event at any time due to insufficient sales or any other reason. In this case, all deposits will be fully refunded.
