How can we challenge the way we explore sex, food and death in design? From sex toys to insect chocolate and eco-burial pods, Controversial Design seeks to spark new dialogues by questioning our assumptions around subjects we may find uncomfortable, embarassing or off-limits. 
Designers Mara Pezzotta &amp; Gianni Arduini present a provocative one-day event of discussions, workshops and displays inviting you to think controversially!
Panel Discussion | 10.30-13.10 | What is "controversial" product design and use - and why? Discover the history, current issues and future potential around designing for sex, food and death with case studies from vibrators as home décor to sensuous eating practices and sustainable burial alternatives.

Join us to learn about, experiment with and contribute to ideas around controversial design, whether you are a consumer, designer or company! Our speakers will lead sessions around intimacy, food as a social practice and our approach to death, with an inclusive and accessible approach. Contribute your ideas and participate in research which will become part of an upcoming "Controversial Design" publication (one copy for each participant - received by May 2019). Become a disruptive designer/consumer!
