Shared Care Resource Launch
Co-designed with carers, this new resource supports shared care by keeping carers involved and connected after a move into care settings.
Join us for the official launch of a new Shared Care Resource designed to support and empower carers. This resource has been co-developed in collaboration with the Together in Dementia Everyday (TIDE) network of carers, ensuring lived experience is at the heart of its design.
Shared care is an approach that supports carers to remain involved in the day-to-day care of the person they support, even after that person moves into a care setting. This transition can often be a challenging time, where carers may feel excluded or uncertain about their role. The Shared Care Resource aims to address this by promoting collaboration, communication, and continued involvement between carers and care providers.
This special event will introduce the resource, highlight the collaborative process behind its development, and explore how it can be used to strengthen partnerships and improve outcomes for both carers and those they support. Attendees will hear directly from carers involved in the project.
What to Expect:
- Introduction to the Shared Care Resource and its purpose
- Insights from carers who co-developed the resource
- Discussion on shared care and maintaining involvement after transition into care settings
- Opportunities to connect with other carers, professionals, and community members
Who Should Attend:
This event is open to unpaid carers, healthcare professionals, support workers, community organisations, and anyone interested in improving support for people affected by dementia.
Why Attend:
Caring does not end when someone moves into a care home. This event offers a chance to explore how shared care can help maintain meaningful involvement, while also discovering a practical tool shaped by real experiences - designed to support more inclusive and collaborative care.
