Overview

A series of free workshops created to provide a safe & welcoming space for foster & adoptive families in Havering with children under 16.

Shared Ground is a bespoke project specifically for the foster and adoptive community in the London Borough of Havering. We kindly ask that you only book onto this session if you are part of this group.

Why we think it’s important

We created Shared Ground because we know that families can often feel isolated and benefit from safe, creative spaces to connect. Shared activities can strengthen family bonds and build lasting, positive memories, yet local opportunities tailored to the unique needs of adoptive and foster families are often limited.

The session flow

Join us from 3pm and say hello to other families who share similar journeys. Following welcome refreshments, families can take part in creative activities designed to be engaging and low-pressure. We understand that family needs can change moment to moment, so you are welcome to pop in and out of the activities as required.

Not sure if it is for you?

Interested in finding out more? Foster and adoptive families are welcome to pop by and say hello while a session is in progress. Our friendly facilitators will be happy to have a quiet chat about the sessions to help you decide if you’d like to attend in the future.

Built for You

Shared Ground has been created in consultation with local support organisations and Havering’s own foster and adoptive community. These sessions are an opportunity for families to relax, have fun, and find "common ground" in a friendly, non-judgmental environment.
