Global Design Forum

As intelligence becomes embedded within infrastructures and systems that shape everyday life, what is the role of the designer?

Victoria and Albert Museum

2026: Worlds in Motion

The programme uses London as a lens through which to examine how questions emerging here resonate far beyond, revealing design as a practice shaped by technological change, ecological transformation and cultural exchange.

As technologies become embedded within active decision making process and distributed across the infrastructures and systems that shape everyday life, often without public awareness, the future of creative practice is being increasingly shaped by these same forces.Bringing together designers, artists and researchers working across computational creativity, AI and digital culture, this conversation moves beyond technology simply as a design tool. Instead it asks how designers are reappropriating, questioning and reshaping emerging technologies whilst embracing the uncertainty. The talk considers design as a catalyst for negotiation and transformation, where futures emerge through the choices and collaborations that shape them.Moderator: Pita ArreolaSpeakers: Harry Kumar (Moth Quantum), Betty Lu (field.io), Tobias RevellWith thanks to our Strategic partner MixZ, and Programme Partner Shenzhen Media Group
