Shared Reading Group

Shared Reading Group

Overview

Join us for a relaxed and supportive small-group session exploring the poetry of Mary Oliver through shared reading.

This session invites conversation, reflection and creative engagement.

Shared reading is about connection and engagement - not accuracy or analysis. Readers of all abilities are welcome, and no previous experience is needed.

The session will take place in The Green Room at The Standard, 139 High Street, Dumfries. This room is accessed via The Standard Close. The venue has step free access and accessible toilets.

This free event is run by Midsteeple Quarter and Narrative, supported by Dumfries & Galloway council. Narrative is an emerging shared reading organisation based in Dumfries and Galloway, dedicated to helping people engage with literature in meaningful and therapeutic ways. Sessions will be led by shared reading facilitator Lauren McDaid.

Please book in advance as spaces are limited.
