Working in the creative industries there are many challenges and opportunities and it can be hard figuring everything out for yourself. Sharing Best Practice: Peer-to-Peer Support is a series of fully funded sessions aimed at Wakefield based founders, leaders and freelancers to come together in a small group to share best practise, learn from, and support each other. No judgement, just a confidential, structured sessions facilitated by Kate Gledhill (Programme Manager, Creative UK). The dates are as follows:Wednesday 19th OctoberWednesday 2nd NovemberWednesday 9th NovemberWednesday 23rd NovemberWednesday 7th DecemberAll sessions will take place from 10am – 12.30am via Zoom. Places on the cohort are limited and therefore participants must be able to commit to all of the course dates outlined above.<h3>How to Join</h3>Places on this course will be allocated on a first come, first served basis (subject to eligibility criteria). The joining details and further information will be emailed directly to all those who’s places have been confirmed. <h3>Eligibility </h3>These sessions are aimed at creative and cultural practitioners, freelancers, organisations and SMEs based in Wakefield and the wider Yorkshire Humber region. <h3>W﻿hat is Peer-to-Peer learning?</h3>Peer-to-peer learning is a mutual learning strategy that involves people engaging in collaborative learning. The opportunity to teach and be taught by one another has been proven as an effective method of learning and problem-solving. <h3>A﻿bout Kate Gledhill</h3>Kate has worked within the creative sector for over 20 years and has held prestigious positions across renowned design and communications agencies and the Design Council. She is an impassioned champion of the creative sector and a huge advocate of the design process to empower organisations and communities to stimulate positive change and create a brighter world for all. Kate has extensive experience in delivering strategy, strategic support, empathetic mentoring, business advice and facilitating growth workshops, with teams and stakeholders at all levels across both public and private sectors. Kate is passionate about building community, cross-sector and interdisciplinary working and the opportunity to turn complexity into simplicity to creative impact and legacy.
