Sheffield Digital Studio

The Sheffield Digital Studio would like to welcome you for an open day on 30th January.
Established in 2016 to focus on prisons and probation, the Ministry of Justice Digital and Technology Studio works to give time back to front line staff and develop products that demonstrate how prisons can be truly rehabilitative spaces.
The Studio was set up to challenge the status quo in the prisons and probation space: ageing technology and equipment, legacy databases and poor service provision which make people’s lives - at work as well as behind bars - even more difficult.
In the last two years, we have delivered:

Brilliant basics - modernising ageing equipment, making services robust, reliable and better for users

Simple, modern, digital services designed by and for users
</LI>
<LI>
Innovative products for secure environments - in-cell education capability for offenders, handheld devices for prison officers, and modern tools deployed in probation which have been used over 2.5m times in the first 2 months.

Savings by building digital capability and moving technology into the cloud 
</LI>

We would like to share our vision for prisons and probation services with you, with the opportunity to meet staff, walk through our digital projects and answer your questions.
