<h2></h2><h2></h2><h2></h2><h2>Music, spoken word, stories, poetry ...</h2><h3>Come along to Phoenix Art Space to perform, showcase your ideas, tell your story, share your voice and words!</h3><p></p><p>BWC and artists Cole &amp; Joslin are hosting SHIFT HAPPENS - a community open mic night all about transformation, movement, coping with change and the way that women have experienced or created this in their lives.</p><p></p><p>The open mic will be hosted by the amazing AFLO. the poet and  accompanied by the Starting Fires Band. The evening will also include an AI experiment in collaboration with creative technologist Chris Chowen, where words will become images as they&#x27;re spoken.</p><p></p><p>Entry is <strong>FREE</strong>,  register to perform to share your story or reserve your seats and  listen to others.  Join us for an evening of creativity in a safe, trans-inclusive space.</p><p><strong>Date: </strong>Thursday 7th September</p><p><strong>Time: </strong>Prompt start 6:00pm</p><p><strong>Run Time:</strong> 2 hours including interval</p><p><strong>Access:</strong> Phoenix Art Space’s ground floor which houses the gallery, education spaces and the café are accessible to all. Email us at: events@womenscentre.org.uk and introduce yourself, we&#x27;d love to hear from you! </p><p></p><p><strong>AFLO. the poet</strong> is an award-winning Brighton-based spoken word artist, activist and academic who embraces creative expression to disrupt the status quo and inspire social change. The alt-rock band delivers 4-part harmonies, wild guitar solos and bass &amp; drum-driven tracks, resulting in an energetic, audience-involved live performance.
