Shift Jam 2.0

Shift is a pilot project from Wellington City Council that aims to increase the physical activity and wellbeing of young Wellington women.

Shift is holding it’s second Jam in July for twenty young women aged 15 - 18 years (or near enough) to learn about social entrepreneurship, startup’s, wellbeing and human-centered design. The Jam will be packed full of fun, food, new friends and inspiration; check out this <A HREF="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_AVRbyhCdk" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">video</A>  from the last Jam to see for yourself. We may even create new ideas to fuel the Give back, Shift forward fund!

Second week of the school holidays: Thursday 21st July, 5pm — 8.30pm Friday 22nd July, 9am — 5pm Saturday 23rd, 9am — 5pm 
We know this is a big time commitment, but trust us it will be so much fun you won’t want to leave!

Applications close Wednesday 13th July and the Shift Crew will contact you after this to let you know the outcome of your application. If you don’t have access to a device you can call or txt Chloe on 022 657 9327 to talk through how to make an <A HREF="http://goo.gl/forms/QQUNbWnN9PbTwuuD3" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">application</A>.

Why 
We want to grow and empower young Wellington women so they can break down the barriers to other young women being active and healthy. 
Shift will do this by:

supporting you to develop new ideas that can help create more money for the Give back, Shift forward fund
</LI>
<LI>
teaching you about start up business ideas and concepts
</LI>
<LI>
practicing human-centered design (it’s all aboutthe people!), and
</LI>
<LI>
introducing you to amazing humans doing great work in Wellington that help others.
</LI>

You will also get to eat, talk, laugh, socialise and shift your body whist shifting your mind! </DIV>
