About this event

Friday 23rd May, 7.00pm - 7.45pm and Saturday 24th May 7.00pm - 7.45pm

Formas Extrañas is an innovative Live Performance exploring elements of Chilean and British identity through merging Breaking choreographic elements, Sudamerican Folclor rhythms, and Bristol’s Electronic Music sound environments. This will be performed using innovative ways for the dancers motion and position to interact and control other elements such as lighting, melodies and musical tones.

The piece works on tradition and experimentation in culture, and how friendships and context can modify ways of perceiving the environments we are accustomed to.

The themes we cover include relationships, exploration, curiosity, play, loss, nostalgia. Mixing the traditional with the modern, the digital with the analogue, and despite a cliché concept, the new to the old.
