Creative workshop responding to a brief to create a design that is confined to a circle inspired by and responding to the word Revolve.

OverviewAs part of the <a href="https://www.thegrad.co/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">thegrad.co</a> events we will be running a Sideline Remote creative session to explore a new project called Revolve. This session will be live on to the public (for the first time), on Zoom from 4pm on Thursday 29th July, and will be an opportunity to create and submit work that will be curated into a show later in the year.We are hoping to receive responses from both students and industry practitioners, so we would love for you to be a part of the project and would invite you to create some work in response to our brief. If you could make the Zoom session that would be fantastic, alternatively we would be happy for you to create a design in your own time and submit it as and when.BriefCreate a design that is confined to a circle inspired by and responding to the word Revolve. The circle represents form without beginning or end. The perfect balance of symmetry, geometry, and maths. From the cycle of life and the forming of cells to the very rock upon which we hurtle through the universe, the circle is in our being and shapes us.We are looking to curate a body of work that explores the limitations of constraints within a given visual language and the creative opportunities that arise. The circle should be seen as a container or a space for play with form, colour, light, patterns, systems, codes, and movement.The work will be collated and exhibited in both print and digital form at BCU later in the year. We will also explore the relationship between the individual responses and how they can be randomly combined through code to create a new visual dialogue between the work.
