Event description
Chat about ITiCSE and Computing Education Research in Ireland over a virtual coffee!

About this Event

In advance of the first virtual ITiCSE (more details below) we are having a pre-ITiCSE CS Education Research (virtual) Coffee Chat on June 11 at 11am.

This is a great opportunity to discuss ITiCSE and any other questions you might have about ITiCSE, and CS Education research in general, particularly here in Ireland.

For instance, you might be interested in ITiCSE Working Groups which are a fantastic way to get involved in the wider SIGCSE community and hopefully get a publication under your belt while you're at it!

My original email regarding ITiCSE is below.

Although most attendees will likely be members of SIGCSEire, guests are welcome.

You'll be sent a link to the session a few days in advance once you complete this eventbrite registration.

Hope to see you there!

Brett, Keith and Catherine

More about ITiCSE:

The 25th annual conference on Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education (ITiCSE) is being held on June 17-18. The conference is sponsored by ACM, the ACM Special Interest Group on Computing Education (SIGCSE), the ACM Europe Council, and Informatics Europe. ITiCSE 2020 will take place in a virtual format hosted by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the Centre for Excellent IT Education (Excited).

As the conference is virtual this year, it's a great opportunity to attend at low cost. Registration rates are very reasonable and early rates are available until May 31 at iticse.acm.org/registration. Registration closes on June 10.

Ireland has a super strong showing this year with 16 unique authors, 7 papers, 2 posters, 2 doctoral consortium posters, 3 working groups, 2 associate program chairs, 5 reviewers. This is most certainly a record by a long shot.
