What do I have to bring with me?

Accepted Answer

Comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for indoor and outdoor activities. Personal toiletries and any necessary medications. A water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. An open mind and a willingness to engage in the programme.

Will food be provided?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there will be provision for breakfast, lunch, dinner and all snacks. All food will be vegetarian. It is important to inform the organisers of any food allergies that you may have. Also that you bring your medications and take them as prescribed by your doctor (e.g. before, with a meal etc).

Do I have to be abstinent from alcohol and drugs to attend?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You must have given up alcohol fully for at least one week. You should not consumed drugs for at least a week also. This is prevent serious side effects and withdrawal symptoms that could potentially be dangerous or even life threatening.

Question 9

What if I have been drinking too close to the event?

Accepted Answer

You need to be sober for a week to attend the Retreat. This is for your own health and safety and for fairness to those who are attending the retreat. Attendees will be breathalysed to ensure that they have not been drinking, and this may be done more than once if there is a suspicion of drinking.
