Come and explore some of the music that may have been sung by church-goers in Iffley during the 16th century, and trace developments in the music that was sung in churches, homes and royal chapels while major theological debates and liturgical changes were taking place.Your ticket includes3.00-4.00 in IFFLEY CHURCH HALL. Workshop/sing-along with Professor Henrike Lähnemann on THE REFORMATION IN OUR HYMN BOOKS. 4.15-5.00 TEA in the Hall 5.00-6.00 in IFFLEY CHURCH. Lecture-recital by Dr Katie Bank and Dr Jonathan Tyack on NAVIGATING THE TUDORS: RELIGIOUS MUSIC IN CHAPEL AND HOME. 6.30-7.30 SUNG EVENSONG in IFFLEY CHURCH, FREE entry. Everyone is welcome to join in the singing of some music rehearsed earlier in the day.
