Still in its original 1806 building, the Portico Library celebrates both the historic and the contemporary culture of Manchester, welcoming the public, researchers and members to its unique 19th-century book collection and 21st-century events and exhibitions.

'Polite Society?' Mini Festival

A mini festival exploring politeness, mental health and customs through discussion and art as part of the 'Sit Down and Get Out . the Trouble with polite society exhibition', 9-12 March 2022.

£5 (or £8 including drawing materials)Get your artistic juices flowing in the third of our four ‘polite and impolite’ events with D.I.Y art collective Gang of Five’s “drink &amp; draw” evening from 7pm on Friday 11th March.
