Drawing offers a wide range of benefits. We live in an increasingly isolated world with more people working from home or doing online shopping we no longer associate with as many people. Sketching gives the opportunity to connect with yourself and others.
Mentors will be based around the town of Stone who are willing to talk and help. Look out for them at selected locations in the High Street and along the canal.
Bring your pens, pencils and or paints. Your paper and your sketch books. Join us for this free interactive event drawing and painting what you see.
For those who do not have a pencil or sketchbook, a limited supply of these will be available at the Heritage Centre (Old Fire Station) in front of the Joules Pub.
The organisers of Sketch ‘n Stone will be hosting an exhibition of paintings and sketchbooks based at the Heritage Centre. (Old Fire Station). There will also be teas and coffees served from here. Carole and Sue will be available on both days to offer advice and assistance in getting started encouraging anyone who is interested to take part. No fee, non-profit making, just a gathering of people who want to create art.
Join us anytime on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th July from 10am to 4pm come and join us. For those who are not quite sure, simply come and have a look.
