Skills with drills — a DIY workshop
Want to learn how to use a drill? We'll teach you the skills to be the queen of your castle.
Would you like us to de-mystify what’s hiding in your walls? Want us to show you how to drill into walls whilst avoiding pipes and cables? Want hands-on practice, in a beautiful workshop with experienced instructors on hand?
We’ve got you.
At our workshops, small groups of max 6 people will be able to learn:
- How to use a drill safely
- How to avoid drilling into pipes and cables
- Understanding different wall types (aka "Help, my Berlin Altbau is made of dust")
- How to avoid wonky shelves and other easy mistakes
- How to keep the cost of your home repairs down
- How to look awesome in a tool-belt
You'll then be able to practice all of these skills on custom-built free standing walls, installing picture frames, small shelves or coat-hooks.
All tools and refreshments will be provided and there will be workbooks and Driller Queens goodies to take home and keep.
This workshop is organised by Driller Queens, a diverse handyfolk collective based in Berlin.
Reduced price ticket info
Each workshop offers reduced price tickets for people that need it. If you are on low income, receiving ALG1 or Hartz IV, or just struggling a bit financially right now, then please take advantage of these tickets.
We won't ask for proof, we're trusting you to do the right thing.
