Slow Down & Chips
Let's chill out and snack on some chips while we slow down and unwind at Heather Yoga!
Slow Down & Chips
A NEW pop-up to move, eat & connect
This is a new pop-up designed to make movement and connection feel easy and welcoming. Each session includes a 60 minute practice led by a different teacher, followed by a relaxed social gathering at Dandelion Café. For £15, you’ll get the practice plus triple-cooked chips with handmade Dandelion baked beans (if you don’t know, Dandelion make everything from scratch, even the sauces).
We think this is the best combo, Practice & Chips! (Other food and hot drinks will be available to buy.)
This is about stripping things back. Practising & eating together without pressure. And making space for community in a way that feels nice. So often we can go to practice and never say hello to anyone, or see a workshop that we’d love to go to but feels unaffordable. We hope this popup helps this gap! After the practice, we’ll sit down together with Alis and some gentle conversation prompts (optional, light-touch invitations to chat, laugh and connect while we eat).
Because practice and good food belong together, and we feel community matters.
Price: £15
Includes: Practice + chips & beans
Extras: Other food & hot drinks available to buy
⭐This Month: SLOW DOWN with Alis
For our first Pop-up with Chips, we’re welcoming Alis (YEAH LOVE) for a SLOW DOWN practice.
This is a floor-based, gentle session focused on softening, unwinding and somatically soothing ourselves. Expect slow, restorative movement, self-massage, spirals, wiggles and waves, free intuitive movement, breathwork, meditation, a long pause at the end and as always, a gorgeous ALIS YEAH LOVE playlist to float away to. It’s for all bodies and all moods.
Cushions, bolsters and blankets are definitely welcome in this practice. And if you usually find stillness tricky, this practice shows how slowing down doesn’t have to mean being static, it can be messy, curious and be deeply decompressing. “The Unfunking” – Alis calls it. Giving yourself space to be. Alis will also be guiding the convos over chips around slowing down, connection & romance.
About Alis
Alis is a Yorkshire-born somatic slow-down Yoga teacher, embodiment practitioner and artist with a big heart and a love for real connection. Her classes feel more like gathering with pals than a traditional wellness experience. Warm, welcoming and grounded in body softness.
Accessibility:
This practice can be done on the ground or seated in a chair.
Participants are always encouraged to rest, sit, lay down, modify, stim or opt out.
Music is used in this practice. Aromatherapy oils are also used (but this is optional for each person, not used in the room).
Conversation starters will be available for anyone who’d like them (completely optional) and you’re equally welcome to simply sit, eat and enjoy the shared space quietly. No pressure.
