Slow Reading: Elizabeth Gilbert's The Signature of All Things
A bookclub but with a difference - just a few passages to read & discuss in a relaxed environment over a cuppa.
Join us for a slow-reading workshop on Elizabeth Gilbert’s The Signature of All Things, putting the wonderful Alma Whittaker at the heart of our conversation. We’ll dip in and out of the book, rereading key passages and sharing thoughts on Alma as a rich and complex character: a woman driven by her scientific curiosity, but also shaped by her experience of love, faith, and those questions science cannot fully answer, all within the world and time she lived in. A relaxed, friendly space to enjoy the novel, whether you’re new to it or coming back with fresh eyes
Includes a tea or coffee.
