Sluice and IMT Gallery invite you to a weekend of screened artists films. Open this Saturday evening from 7-10pm and Sunday afternoon from 12-6pm. Come and celebrate the festive season with our final event of 2022.The current edition of SLUICE SCREENS asks the question ‘what porous borders, rich soils, strategic navigational routes and idealogical imperatives shape today’s world?’SLUICE SCREENS is a programmatic strand of Sluice’s activities. In the recent Territory expo SLUICE SCREENS showed the work of 14 artists represented by 8 different artist and curator-led projects and galleries. The IMT Screening is a revised version of the Lisbon programme featuring:Intersite with Aoife Claffey, Padraic Barret and Kate McElroyBasement Art Projects with Kimbal Bumstead and ArtCouplemothermother with Nat TozerThe Invasion Project with Ava GraulsGrey Cube Projects with Laura Colmenares GuerraSluice with Karl EnglandStations of the Noumenon with Andre de JongIMT Gallery with Maggie Roberts, Rieko Whitfield and Fran HayesTerritory expo was an international gathering of 32 projects exhibiting over 80 artists in 14 venues around Barreiro, Lisbon in November 2022. Exhibiting projects originated from the UK, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, Ukraine, Netherlands, Chile, Colombia, Hong Kong, Australia, Norway, New Zealand and the USA. The expo was co-produced by Sluice and PADA.SLUICE SCREENS at IMT is part of ‘Assembling’, a new programme to open up our space to external research and organisations. We are doing this to develop a local, international and research based community engaged with critical art practice. We want to activate a space for community interaction, which enables all involved to create new partnerships and build networks.imagemusictext.comsluice.info
