Small Footsteps - practitioners workshop

Footsteps (Faiths for a Low Carbon Future) brings together faith groups in Birmingham to respond to the challenge of moving to a low carbon future.Many faith communities are taking their own actions to help the environment; by coming together we can take footsteps side-by-side towards our common goal.  The main way Footsteps does this is by organising interfaith and multi-faith events to explore our responses to the high carbon present, and take action towards a low carbon future.A small organising committee, with representatives from each of the main faith groups, meets once every few months to plan the events.

Footsteps (Faiths for a Low Carbon Future)

Explore what faith-based work with young people around environment might look like in the future.

This event is for anyone working with children and young people (in any capacity).Claire Dalpra has been conducting a review of our Small Footsteps interfaith climate work with young people. Claire will present the main conclusions from her review, and share ideas about how this work might look in the future. There will be a chance to discuss, and input towards the work that comes out of this unique piece of research.In particular, we’ll be thinking about:<ul><li> Who should we be collaborating with?</li><li> How do we involve young people in the development of Small Footsteps?</li><li> What should be offered?</li></ul>Photo: Claire speaking at our recent faiths open evening at Small Heath EcoPark
