The Small Molecules TIN present an interactive workshop to share recent COVID research stories and the viral drug discovery resources at UCL

In this interactive workshop, the Small Molecules TIN (Chaired by Prof Matthew Todd) will highlight UCL&#x27;s capabilities in viral drug discovery, including what platforms are currently operating and how to access them, as well as outlining collaboration opportunities with UCL researchers. The speakers will also present recent research from the Small Molecules TIN. Through this event, we hope to stimulate new collaborative possibilities between scientists from different disciplines, therefore in addition to the short talks highlighted below, there may also be small group discussions.Agenda:Prof Matthew Todd (School of Pharmacy, TIN co-chair) - Introduction, chair Dr Laurent Dupays (TRO, TIN coordinator) - Introduction to the Small Molecules TIN.Dr Richard Angell (School of Pharmacy, TRO Drug Discovery Group) - Founder 3C - Collaborative Community against Coronavirus. 25 minsDr Claire Smith (GOS Institute of Child Health) - Air-liquid interface model. 25 minsBreak - 5minsProfessor Greg Towers (Division of Infection &amp; Immunity) - Drugging the host to suppress viral replication. 25 minsDr Michela Mazzon (LMCB) - Virology Research Services. 25 minsIntended audience - UCL and external researchers (any level) in the area of small molecule drug discovery interested in the screening capabilities that exist at UCL. We are also extending the invite to industry partners who may want to explore collaboration opportunities. This event is open to all (UCL and non-UCL).
