As part of the document Management Training offer for Wakefield District practices, we will be offering various sessions for SNOMED Coding Training for receptionists and admins.

SNOMED is the new clinical terminology which has replaced the old coding systems Read V2 and CTv3 in EMIS and SystmOne.

The training aims to familiarise staff with the logic behind the coding system, provide them with an understanding of concepts and how these will be used in their clinical system to present information back to the clinician in a more logical way.

It will provide staff with the skills to identify that they have selected the correct concept code and to confidently search for the term they require.

This is a practical session providing the opportunity to explore the SNOMED browser and ensure a solid basic understanding of clinical terminology.
