Samantha Melvin is a women’s empowerment advocate dedicated to creating spaces that guide women back into their true power, inner wisdom, and self-nourishment. Her work is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and community, offering women the tools and support to reconnect with themselves, find their voice, and embrace their wholeness. Through gatherings, workshops, and conversations, Samantha helps women to step into their strength while feeling held, seen, and supported.

Join us for a soft, soulful gathering at Flo Motion Yoga, Matlock

Unit 4 Olde Englishe Rd

A soft, soulful space to return to yourself… to rise, gently, like one of the first flowers of the year. As the first snowdrops dare to rise through the frozen earth, we too are called to slowly awaken, to stretch out of winter’s long shadows. Snowdrop teaches us that hope does not need perfect conditions—only timing. Only truth. Her medicine is quiet courage, gentle persistence, and resilience. Join us in a gentle, dreamy space, where we will journey to the beautiful being of snowdrop, with essence, drum, voice, and singing bowls.As the snowdrops emerge, we are reminded of Spring’s energy, of growth, rising vitality, and forward movement. Across many traditions, Wood energy represents this upward and outward flow, the drive to grow, expand, and reach toward light. Just as snowdrops push gently but persistently through frozen ground, we too are invited to nurture this energy gradually, honouring our own pace while opening to new possibilities.In this workshop, we will explore how to awaken and support this seasonal energy, through body, mind, and spirit:<ul><li>Jan will introduce the Snowdrop session, guiding us into the quiet courage, gentle persistence, and resilience of this first flower.</li><li>Azim Nobeebaccus will offer an educational and interactive session, blending Traditional Chinese Medicine and wider seasonal wisdoms, including:</li><li><ul><li>Understanding Wood energy and Spring’s call to rise and expand</li><li>Exploring the liver and gallbladder meridians</li><li>Gentle stretches and “doo-ing” exercises to gradually awaken and nourish this energy</li></ul></li><li>Sam will close with a crystal sound bath and grounding meditation, allowing the stirred energy to settle and integrate.</li></ul>The workshop will take place at Flo Motion Yoga in Matlock, offering a warm, welcoming space to rest, reconnect, and gently emerge into Spring.This gathering is part of the Roots and Resilience Project, fostering connection and care. We especially encourage those from low-income and underrepresented communities to attend, though everyone is warmly welcome.
