Learn how to make traditional cold process soap with Stacey from award-winning soap company Bean &amp; Boy in this half day workshop. 
NOVEMBER THEME: we are getting super festive this month with traditional Christmas scents like cinnamon, clove and orange and botanicals such as allspice, orange slices and ground cinnamon. We'll be making gorgeous individual festive-scented decorated soaps that you can give away as Christmas gifts or save for yourself. A great gift-making workshop that gives you the skills you need to make soap again. *cold process soap takes six weeks to cure so these soaps will be ready just in time to give as special gifts on the big day!
We're passionate about traditional crafts, and we're reviving the art of cold process soapmaking in this fun workshop that covers the basics of oils and butters, proper safety, working with lye, choosing essential oils and botanicals, making soap at home, and of course - soapmaking!
We don't use artificial ingredients to scent or colour our soaps,so you'll get creative with clays, herbs, botanicals and essential oils. In this half day workshop you will make one luxury soap recipe that you'll pour into individual soaps and decorate to give as gifts (or keep all to yourself). You'll take home plenty of info and experience to get you started on your soapmaking journey. You'll also take home all of your soaps from the day, some recipes, and a good understanding of the science behind soapmaking. 
We keep workshops small so that you have fun, make friends and can ask plenty of questions while you get hands-on experience. Tea and biscuits will be served. You're welcome to bring your own snacks if you want to or have specific dietary requirements, although there'll be a busy soapmaking schedule during the four hour workshop and we won't be having a specific lunch break. There'll be time for tea during the safety briefing, and again while we wait for oils to cool down before making soap.
