Welcome to our Social Sashiko Stitching - create, learn &amp; explore event! Yukiko Munemoto is a textile artist who uses techniques &amp; knowledge gathered over the years to mend &amp; remake fabric, extending its use &amp; life. Yukiko is joined by Ghislaine Walker from the Evolving Wardrobe. Ghislaine has been using craft skills, learnt first from her grandmothers, to explore the way we can allow loved clothes to tell new stories.Join us at Mother Rugger for a fun-filled evening of stitching. Explore the traditional Japanese art of sashiko stitching while mingling with fellow craft enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a complete beginner, this event is perfect for anyone looking to unleash their creativity and connect with like-minded individuals.You can bring along a project, preferably on denim, cotton or linen. All other materials will be provided.Or you will be able to create a sampler featuring some simple traditional designs. All these materials are included in the price.You will also be given information on how to continue with this simple but effective skill once you have left the workshop. We will be sharing the resources which have helped us most.Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to learn a new skill and make new friends. See you there!
