Fire Up Co-Working SpaceRochdale, England
Thursday, Feb 26 from 8 am to 10 am GMT
Overview

A session led by Kevin Mullin at First Bus to demystify social value and enable Rochdale based SMEs/VCSEs to confidently bid for contracts

Social value is no longer optional - it’s a key factor in winning contracts, particularly in the public sector.

This workshop, delivered by Kevin Mullin - social value manager at First Bus in Rochdale, will include:

  • Demystifying social value – what it means and why it matters now
  • Practical, proportionate approaches – simple ways to evidence impact without complex systems
  • Where SMEs already add value – and how you can build on it
  • Procurement trends – why social value is increasingly decisive in bids
  • Hands-on exercise – identify your current social value and how to present it effectively
  • Optional follow-up – creating a one-page Social Value Statement.

Directions and parking

The workshop is being held at Fire Up Co-Working Space, Maclure Road, Rochdale, OL11 1DN - limited parking on site.

Alternative free parking is available at Central Retail Park – OL11 1DZ (what3words ///home.falls.slowly) and is accessed from Oldham Road. There is an exit at the rear onto Richard Street and to the Fireground car park at the rear of the building (see image below).
