The Better Space Social Ventures Hackathon, in partnership with Cambridge Social Ventures, is open to aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, and business enthusiasts to work on innovative solutions addressing pressing social and environmental challenges.
Join us for an inspiring day of innovation, collaboration, and social entrepreneurship, offering you a unique opportunity to build on your idea to make a positive change in your community.

- Idea development workshops
- Networking lunch and refreshments
- Pitching session for a chance to win a £1000 grant, 6 months of free co-working at Better Space, and a spot on the Cambridge Social Ventures Weekend

We particularly encourage Islington residents, women, people from BAME communities, and individuals with disabilities to take part in this Social Ventures Hackathon.
How to Take Part
When you register your spot, you will need to...
- Tell us about your idea and why it matters to you
- Let us know whether you will be attending on your own or will be attending as a group, working on the same idea
- Confirm that you are able to attend the full event, from 09.30 to 17.30

Who's leading this workshop?
The Hackathon will be led by Cambridge Social Ventures. Cambridge Social Ventures supports a diverse range of businesses creating positive social and environmental impact. Their programmes help entrepreneurs drive real, lasting change through practical training, workshops and a supportive, inclusive community.
Who is the organiser?
This event is brought to you by Better Space, an affordable coworking space and community that supports Islington residents, start ups and businesses to thrive and put purpose before profit. Commissioned by Islington Council and run by City St George's, University of London, Better Space offers below-market rate, flexible desk memberships, business support, community events and more.
Thevent will be held at Better Space, in the lower ground floor event area which is fully accessible by lift and entry from the main door on Farringdon Road. There are washroom facilities and access to water, tea and coffee, as well as on-road bike racks.
