To learn more about sociodrama and why facilitating remote workshop might need to be more experiential and more action, go to www.sociodrama.co.uk. </p><h3>What will you learn in the four sessions?</h3><p>In this highly experiential Sociodrama course, you will ...</p><p>...actively experience</p><ul><li>the power of (virtual) group work in action</li><li>the three main approaches to Sociodrama</li><li>a variety of different virtual directing styles by some of the most experienced sociodramatists</li><li>a variety of different virtual warm-ups to bring groups into a state of play</li><li>how to use zoom to facilitate lively and rich group experiences</li></ul><p>… gain an understanding of</p><ul><li>key concepts and techniques of sociodrama and its directing</li><li>different virtual ways to widen and deepen the roles people take</li><li>how to debrief and close a (virtual) sociodrama session</li></ul><p>… take away</p><ul><li>an overview of different kinds of groups and their characteristics</li></ul><h3>How is this course structured?</h3><p>Each course is run by another tandem of highly experienced sociodrama directors from iSCAN.</p><p></p><h3>Session Overview</h3><p><strong>Session 1: Virtual Sociodrama basics</strong></p><ul><li>Learn about basic sociodrama directing concepts and techniques</li><li>Facilitators: Dr. Ron Wiener &amp; Joerg Jelden</li><li>Date: March 17th, 2021</li><li>Time: 12 - 15h GMT</li></ul><p><strong>Session 2: issue-based Sociodrama</strong></p><ul><li>Explore a (social) issue like societies in lockdown, climate crisis, women’s rights, the refugee crisis, racial injustice… and/or speculate in action about changes in the landscapes like post-democracy, post-pandemic or green new deal </li><li>Facilitators: Valerie Monti Holland &amp; Sheila Katzman</li><li>Date: March 24th, 2021</li><li>Time: 12 - 15h GMT</li></ul><p><strong>Session 3: protagonist-centered Sociodrama</strong></p><ul><li>Explore an individual case and expand it beyond the protagonist´s perspective to a group story to work with</li><li>Facilitators: Diane Adderley &amp; Tom Schwarz</li><li>Date: March 31th, 2021</li><li>Time: 12 - 15h GMT</li></ul><p><strong>Session 4: group-centered Sociodrama</strong></p><ul><li>Explore group/ team issues with sociodrama and get a better understanding of group dynamics, roles in the group, relationships to other groups</li><li>Facilitators: Irina Stefanescu &amp; Valentin Heyde</li><li>Date: April 7th, 2021</li><li>Time: 12 - 15h GMT</li></ul><p><strong>Times by selected timezones</strong></p><ul><li>7 – 10h EST</li><li>9 - 12h BRT</li><li>12 - 15h GMT</li><li>13 - 16h CET</li><li>14 - 17h EET</li><li>17:30 – 20:30 IST</li><li>20 - 23h CST</li></ul><h3>How is each session structured?</h3><p>Especially in sessions 2-4, you will have two hours of warm-ups, enactment and sharing as well as 45 minutes of processing how the session was directed. It is mandatory to take part in all four sessions.</p><h3>How much are the four sessions?</h3><p>We trust in the solidarity of the group and offer this course on a pay-as-you-can basis. We aim for a highly diverse group. We want to bring together activists for climate and social justice movements together with organisational change agents, participants from North and South, East and West. To make this possible we rely on those who can currently afford it to pay a little extra and subsidize those who are not so privileged. </p><p>This course is the equivalent of a full two-days seminar. To find a price reference please compare it to two-day courses in professional facilitation, coaching, scrum master,  etc. </p>
