Sofa Screenings - ‘Nuremberg' Thursday 15th January

Thursday, Jan 15, 2026 from 7 pm to 9:30 pm GMT
Overview

A psychiatrist is tasked with determining the mental wellbeing of notorious Nazi War criminal Hermann Göring who is set to go on trial.

As the Nuremberg trials are set to begin to criminally charge those responsible with the atrocities of WW2, a U.S Army psychiatrist is tasked with determining the mental wellbeing of the notorious accused Nazi War criminal, Hermann Göring. Göring claims he has no memory of his past atrocities during the Holocaust, and it's up to an American psychiatrist, played by Oscar winner Rami Malek, to assess the sanity of Göring.

Alongside Malek is Russell Crowe who provides a commanding presence as the pompous Göring, described by many as a defining performance for the actor. The narrative examines the vital fight for truth against great evil that sadly is still just as relevant today.
