Arts week 2019 will include lectures, readings, concerts, film screenings, performances, walks and panel discussions and is ourannualshowcaseof the varied enterprises of Birkbeck academics, on topics both public and scholarly.Birkbeck welcomes everyone with an interest in the Arts to participate in this week-long celebration.

Andrei Tarkovsky's Solaris (1972) is hailed as one of the greatest science fiction films ever made. This screening builds upon the work undertaken by the London Science Fiction Research Community, to investigate the greatness, and strangeness, of this genre.
