A performance, by the Live Canon ensemble, of Shakespeare's sonnets

Featuring Mairin O Hagan, Jim Scott and Holly Atkins. Join us for an evening of Shakespeare's Sonnets... and poetry inspired by them.To add a little frisson, audience will also be sent a bingo card; cross off the numbers as you hear the sonnets, and win a prize for a full house. Tickets are 'pay what you can', and there's an option to order a copy of 154 - an anthology containing all of Shakespeare's 154 sonnets and 154 poems by contemporary poets, inspired by them. Register here, and you will be sent a zoom link for the event on the day. Meet the cast: Holly Atkins trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Theatre includes 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'Helen' (Shakespeare's Globe), 'Scarborough' (Royal Court), 'Getting Down to It' (Young Vic). Television includes 'Call the Midwife', 'Wallander', 'Doctors', 'This Country', 'Home'. Holly has worked extensively with Live Canon over the last decade. Mairin O’Hagan is a London based actor, writer and film maker. She makes films based on Classical Greek drama with her company, Barefaced Greek, and writes for theatre, film and television in writing partnership Queynte Laydies. Her acting work includes performing poetry and touring theatre as part of the Live Canon ensemble, and most recently she took part in London Fashion week as an actor in Edeline Lee’s AW21 launch. Jim trained at LAMDA and has been working with Live Canon for over ten years. Other credits include The Eyes Have It (Watford Palace), Someone to Blame (King's Head), Sochi 2014 (Hope Theatre), A Christmas Carol (Lion and Unicorn), Evidence (White Bear), Fox in the Snow, Mission (Bread and Goose), Ghostbusters (Secret Cinema), The Sound (Blue Elephant), Pick n Myths (UK Tour).
