SoR presents a night of bike racing in all its forms! Expert speakers, good vibes, local bike café — breaking barriers & getting you riding!

Join us at Bikelock Café in Cardiff city centre for Bike Racing 101 🚴‍♀️

This evening is all about breaking down the barriers to bike racing. With inspirational speakers and practical workshops, we’ll explore the many forms racing can take and how to prepare for your first event. From local crits, hill climbs and cyclocross to ultra races, experienced racers will be on hand to share their knowledge and stories.

Entering a bike race can feel intimidating, but there are so many events out there — and organisers are actively looking for new riders to get involved. That includes our very own local Cardiff crit series, starting this April.

We want to inspire you, share tales from the racing world, and make bike racing feel more accessible — because it really isn’t as scary as it seems. Racing is often a challenge against yourself, not just others, and above all, it should be fun. Let’s reclaim racing huh?

The event will be held at Bikelock Café, with secure bike parking and snacks and drinks available to buy.
Doors open at 6pm, with the event kicking off at 6:30pm.
