An All Level Friendly Sound Bath at Lesnes Abbey Lodge

In the busyness of everyday life, how often do we pause to rest — to breathe, be still, and reconnect with peace?

A sound bath offers the perfect way to unwind and restore balance. This immersive experience combines the soothing sounds of Himalayan Bowls, Gongs, Chimes and other instruments to calm the mind, ease the body, and create space for reflection and renewal.

What is Sound Therapy?
Sound therapy is a holistic approach that uses vibrational frequencies to support the body and mind. Through different instruments, the body is invited into a state of deep rest. The sounds stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to reduce stress, regulate the heartbeat, and restore balance to the brain and body.

By slowing brain waves and soothing the nervous system, sound therapy can support emotional release, enhance mental clarity, and promote a profound sense of wellbeing. It provides a powerful tool for transformation and spiritual awakening.

Some benefits of Sound Therapy include:

  • Reducing stress hormone levels (Cortisol, Beta-endorphin, and ACTH).
  • Slowing heart rate and normalising the breath.
  • Relaxing muscles and encouraging deep physical release.
  • Improving circulation and decreasing blood pressure.
  • Supporting reproductive health and hormonal balance.
  • Providing a gentle “massage” for internal organs, improving digestion.
  • Encouraging emotional release and mental clarity.

What to expect at Lesnes Abbey Lodge:
You’ll be warmly welcomed into the peaceful space of Lesnes Abbey Lodge and invited to find a comfortable place to lie down and relax. Once everyone has settled, I’ll explain how the session will unfold and answer any initial questions.

We’ll begin with gentle breathwork to help you settle and release the day, followed by a guided sound bath using Himalayan Bowls, Gong, Chimes and other soothing instruments. The vibrations encourage deep rest, helping to calm the mind and restore balance within the body.

To close, slow breathwork will guide you back into the present moment. A homemade tea blend will be served to help you ground and return to a state of peaceful clarity. We’ll finish with a short reflection and space to share or ask questions, if you wish.

Yoga mats will be provided. If you need a chair, please email me in advance.

Here’s a list of things to bring for your comfort:

  • Pillow & blanket (highly recommended!)
  • Extra blanket
  • Extra pillow, cushion, or bolster for under your knees
  • Sleep or eye mask
  • Water

Please wear warm, comfortable clothing.

Doors open from 7:15 pm and will close at 7:25 pm for a 7:30 pm start. Late arrivals will not be admitted.

Attendance policy: Unfortunately, refunds are not offered. If you cannot attend and wish to exchange your ticket for a later date (a change permitted once only), you must inform me at least 4 hours before the session's start time. Any notification beyond this window will result in your ticket being ineligible for exchange.

📍 Location & Safety Info

This session takes place inside The Lodge, right in the heart of Lesnes Abbey Woods — beside the Abbey Ruins. It’s a peaceful, enclosed space surrounded by nature.

The path leading to the Lodge is lit up in the evenings, so please enter through the New Road entrance for the easiest and safest route.

As the nights draw in, I understand that walking through the park alone can feel a little daunting. To make it easier, I’ve created a Bring-a-Friend Bundle, so you can come along with someone you trust — whether that’s a friend, partner, or loved one — and share this calming experience together.
