Soundbath with Reflection
Relaxing soundbath with visualisation and reflection with BAST trainee, Becca James
Interested in Therapeutic Sound?
There are so many benefits to health and wellbeing that can be achieved with therapeutic sound and music, including reduced stress, anxiety, muscle tension, and physical pain, as well as an increased sense of wellbeing and positive mood.
Hosted in collaboration with Civic Action Lab, Hypha Studios and Camden Council and as part of a Professional Diploma in Group Sound Therapy with The British Academy of. Sound Therapy (BAST) I am calling for people in the local community to take part in Soundbaths. All of these sessions include, Himalayan bowls to gong to crystal bowls to therapeutic percussion.
Some sessions look more deeply into the use of sound and music to improve health and wellbeing and others will focus more on sound and music as an art form, as well as for creativity and fun. All you need to do is book the session(s) of your choice, your feedback will go towards my final case study portfolio. Space is limited so don't hesitate to get in touch with me for further information. You can contact me at becca@beccajamesmusic.co.uk
SESSIONS AS FOLLOWS:
APRIL SESSIONS
I am conducting research with BAST about the effects that participating in TWO relaxation soundbath sessions may have on mood state. So please only book if you can attend both sessions. I have other sessions in May that can be individually booked.
MOOD STATE RESEARCH: RELAXATION SOUNDBATH
TUESDAY 21ST APRIL, 6-8PM
TUESDAY 28TH APRIL, 6-8PM
MAY SESSIONS
INDIVIDUAL SOUNDBATHS WITH REFLECTION
We will work in these sessions with the BAST method to have more of a reflective process, including a short visualisation and feedback session after.
TUESDAY 12TH MAY, 6-8PM
TUESDAY 19TH MAY, 6.8PM
Address:
Civic Action Lab, 2 Prince of Wales Rd, London NW5 3LQ.
Important info:
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat to lie on and blanket/cushions for comfort. This is essential as I will only have one spare mat, and it will be first-come, first-served. You could also bring an eye pillow. I recommend bringing a bottle of water too.
Please arrive on time, as once the soundbath begins, I can't let in latecomers.
Once you book, I will send you an email with further information and there will be a consent form to fill out on the day. Please note this session is not suitable for those in the first trimester of pregnancy.
I can't wait to share this space with you
